Sometimes I wonder if we judge ourselves too harshly. Do we put too much emphasis on the artificial numbers in our lives? Is happiness determined by your monies earned? Your health by a number on a scale? Number of FB friends? Number of likes on picture you posted? Every once in a while I question these things.
And then, my daughter brings home her first high school report card. And the numbers on there make me smile. Like really, really smile. And then I stop wondering temporarily about all this judgment about numbers and I just want to take my girl somewhere and celebrate. Because getting your oldest kid's first high school report card, which says she's on the honour roll, is AWESOME! Woot woot!!!!
